This year, I was once again nominated for Outstanding Photographer. I had some tough competition! Jessica Gutzman is a talented portrait photographer, and Tom Purdy is a fantastic nature photographer. They both have an eye for color, so I didn't know how the night would end for us!
Our category was a "People's Choice" award, which meant that I could only win if I raised the most money for the United Arts Alliance scholarship fund. I had a lot of people donate to the cause for my ballot box, and I am thrilled beyond words to have been named the winner!
Below is my display, and a sampling of some of the terrific talent being recognized this year. It was a fun night, and I enjoyed meeting my competition and chatting with them both. This event really does bring people together! Congrats to all of the nominees, and to the winners!
My gorgeous photographer statuette, designed by a high school art student.
Thank you, UAA, for the nomination and the honor. Until next year….
And don't forget, if you'd like to book a session this winter, please message me through my Facebook page! The fluffy white stuff makes a great backdrop, if we can get to a tolerable temperature!
