Look Who's ONE! Happy Birthday, Jace!

Happy Birthday, Jace!  You are a year old, and surrounded by so many people who love you!  It has been my extreme pleasure to have been the photographer who captured so many milestones in your first year.... 5 days old, 3 months, 7 months, 10 months, and now your first birthday!

We started the day with some family pictures outside in the gorgeous spring weather.  Then I ventured in the house to capture the details of the party, the guests, the food, and the excitement.

Jace's mom, Rachel, is so creative and crafty.  When I walked in to the party, I saw some terrific decorations, like this banner of monthly growth, and the wall full of streamers, not to mention the awesome camo cake!

Grandmas, grandpas, uncles and aunts, cousins and friends all joined in the party, with Dad Randy at the grill.  Lunch was delicious!

After lunch, it was time for a very special gift opening.  We already knew that Jace is going to be a big brother, but now we know it's a baby brother on the way!  It was an exciting moment when those blue balloons came floating out!  Then Jace and Rachel opened more presents.

Blowing kisses after he finished opening his gifts.  Isn't he the cutest!?!?

Now it's time for the cake!  Into the chair, put on your hat, and blow out your candle!  Then dig in and get messy!  He really enjoyed his birthday treat!

So much cuteness!  Sweet little Jace has been a joy to photograph throughout his first year.  His bright blue eyes, soft skin tones, and bubbly personality have been nothing but a joy to photograph.  I'm super sad that he is turning one already, though, because that means we won't have an excuse to do photos every three months!  But of course, with that brother on the way next fall, I'll hopefully see them often!  Love you guys!

Allison + Paul = Together Forever

It was an honor to be part of such a special day, surrounded by close friends and family.  The intimate ceremony was in Allison's parents' backyard, with a beautiful lake in the background.  Their dog was the ring bearer, and their sweet daughter, Louisa, joined them at the end of the ceremony for a special introduction.

The reception was at a nearby park, with a fire roaring, delicious food,  and music all night long.  Paul's one request for me was to capture lots of dancing photos - which I did!

Thank you for the opportunity to capture my first wedding.  I learned a lot, and I appreciate it!  You make a gorgeous couple!
Allison's cousin was maid of honor.  They grew up like sisters.

This is our uncle Kerry.  Rock on!

Brother of the bride, my cousin Justin,

I just love these souvenir  mugs for the guests, printed with the
couple's name and the date.  I use mine a few times a week!

My sister, Cara, made the cake.  It was devine!

Congratulations, Allison and Paul!  Wishing you many years of bliss!
